Veterans Day, Remembrance Day, Armistice Day

Throughout the World November 11th is a Day of Commemoration. On the 11th Hour of the 11th Day of the 11th month the major hostilities of World War I ceased. It was hailed as the end of the War to end all wars, however, those who lived or were born after the proclaimed time sadly know that that was not true. War did not end on Armistice Day. Many Nations set aside November 11th as a day to commemorate the service of the warriors. In the United States, November 11th evolved into Veterans Day, a day to commemorate all US Veterans. In Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, November 11th is commemorated as Remembrance Day, while in Belgium, France and New Zealand the Day is commemorated as Armistice Day. No matter the name, the sentiment is the same, it is a commemoration of the end of World War I, and a day to honor and Commemorate the people who served in the Armed Forces of the Nations of the World.
