In Da Name of Love, Silver Metallic Powder

Richard Nijboer a Body Painting Artist and the Mehron Authorized Dealer at the Grime Shop in the Netherlands was called upon to do the Body Painting Makeup for dancers in a music video. The Music Video was for the song by Ray and Anita, In Da Name of Love, which has skyrocketed to the number 1 Video in the Netherlands.

Mr. Nijboer used Mehron Mixing Liquid combined with Silver Metallic Powder to completely cover the body of the backup dancer. By combining Mehron Mixing Liquid with Silver Metallic Powder Richard created a liquid makeup that looks like icy quicksilver and can be applied quickly with a sponge for full body coverage. The Mixed Liquid Makeup dries quickly and will not melt away under the hot lights of a video shoot. The shimmer created for the video with this Mehron combination fit perfectly with the icy crystals and industrial background for of this hit video.

Residents and Visitors to the Netherlands can find Richard Nijboer and The Grime Shop through the Find A Store Link on the Mehron Web Site.

Pink and Gold at the Grammy Awards

Makeup Artist Yvette Beebe applies Mehron Makeup to a Grammy Award Performer
Makeup Artist Yvette Beebe applies Mehron Gold Metallic Powder to a dancer at the 2010 Grammy Award Show

For the many Grammy Award Performances there are a host of Makeup Artists behind the scenes preparing the musical stars, presenters and backup singers and dancers. Every person who performs on the Grammy Award Stage has a Makeup Artist backstage to prepare them for their performance. This year Makeup Artist Yvette Beebe was called upon to create the look for the dancers performing with Pink.

To compliment her song, "Glitter In The Air", Pink appeared in a hooded white goddess like gown that was removed to reveal a sheer body suit with white material lines, her body accented with glitter. Ms. Beebe decided on a Gold Metallic Look to contrast the sheer silvery glittery white outfit of the Performer Pink. To accomplish the Gold Metallic Look Ms. Beebe contacted the Product Expert at Mehron Makeup Gene Flaharty. Mr. Flaharty recommended Mehron Mixing Liquid combined with Gold Metallic Powder which creates a gold glittery liquid that can be sponged on to cover the entire body. This technique is used by Body Painting Artists. The Mixing Liquid combined with any powder makeup can be used to create an individual color look for body or hair.

Yvette Beebe expertly combined the Mehron Mixing Liquid with the Gold Metallic Powder and turned the Back Up Dancers of The Grammy Award Performance of Pink into a vivid living gold that sparkled and glistened complimenting the silver glitter and white of the star performer. Makeup Artists like Yvette Beebe are the unsung artists of shows like the Grammy Award Presentation. Under time constraints and the pressure of a live performance, Makeup Artist Yvette Beebe and her counterparts always accomplish their mission on time and with precision behind the scenes without the accolades of the audience, their satisfaction is in accomplishing the task at hand and creating dazzlingly beautiful effects with the use of Makeup. Mehron Makeup would like to congratulate Makeup Artist Yvette Beebe on her Grammy Award Makeup Look for the Performance by Pink.
