It is no surprise that when Oribe was planning a Las Vegas Extravaganza he contacted Mehron Makeup Looking to once again break the barriers of Hair Styling, Oribe asked Mehron to develop Hair Makeup for his Las Vegas Event. Mehron came through with a selection of brilliant colors for Oribe to take Hair Color to the next level.

A family run company on the cusp of Makeup Innovation, Mehron is able to meet Special Requests because their laboratory and manufacturing facility is located in the USA along with the Company Headquarters. Makeup by Special Request comes from all corners of the world and for all kinds of events, Fashion Shows, Broadway Plays, Hair Stylists, Las Vegas Shows and even High School Marching Bands.

With Gene Flaharty, Artist and Product Expert, and Reyhan Piatt, Product Specialist ready to assist with any Makeup by Special Request, Mehron has been able to meet the requests for quantity and special colors for a host of events requiring specially blended makeup throughout the years. In the Fall of 2008, Mehron Makeup received a request for help from a High School Marching Band in Hawaii. The Roosevelt Marching Band, an Award Winning Precision Marching Band decided on a themed presentation of songs featuring "Blue", to add a special touch to the competition presentation they had their mind on a band of Blue Members like the Blue Man Group. Calling on Mehron for help, The Roosevelt Marching Band was not only supplied with the quantity of Blue Liquid Makeup that they needed, they were also given tips and instructions by the Mehron Team on how to accomplish the volume of Makeup Application that they needed to have the Band Members ready in time for the competition.

The 2008 Roosevelt Marching Band from Honolulu, Hawaii has a unique and innovative Marching Band Program. This year the Marching Band presented a program of the blues. Don't get the wrong idea The Roosevelt Marching Band did not start playing the blues, they played in blue! That's right, the 80 plus members of the Award Winning Roosevelt High School Marching used Mehron Makeup to turn their band BLUE.

It was a daunting task for the novice makeup users to turn their 80 plus Band Members Blue, but they did succeed not once but three times as they presented their program at three different events. The reason that the Roosevelt High School Marching Band decided to make themselves blue was their song selection, for their first song they played, "Sketches in Blue", their second number was, "Passions in Blue", and their final number was "Rhythm in Blue".

Besides hours of grueling practice which keeps the Roosevelt Marching Band from Honolulu, Hawaii in demand at major events including New Year's Eve in London, England, this daring group of performers endured hours of Makeup Application in order to carry the Blue Theme through their Performance in not only music but in presentation.

With tips offered by Shelli Farber, Education Manager of Mehron, the volunteers spent hours turning their Band Member into Blue People for their performances at the University of Hawaii Rainbow Invitational, Kamehameha Tournament of Bands and Mililani Bandfest. These enduring Band Members selected Mehron Makeup, the Makeup that has endured performances since 1927.

This amazing group of High School Students who have practiced for countless hours to become a precision marching band, showed remarkable patience and cooperation as novice makeup artists became experts in turning them blue over the course of the three performances.
