Mehron Theatrical Makeup has been a long time Sustaining Member of events presented by USITT, an Association For Performing Arts and Entertainment Professionals. The mission of USITT is to expand the knowledge base and connect members who work in the Performing Arts and Entertainment Industry, exploring current practices, educating for the future and providing a networking community where Professionals in Performing Arts and Entertainment Industry can share tips and job opportunities.
On March 9-12, 2010 USITT held its 50th Anniversary Annual Conference and Stage Expo in Kansas City, MO. The Mehron Theatrical Makeup Booth Staff was lead by Gene Flaharty, Mehron Product Expert and Makeup Artist. Mehron Theatrical Makeup has been a long time supporter of USITT because it is an Organization that attracts not only Professionals in the Performing Arts and Entertainment Industry, but also newly graduating students whose life ambition is to work withing the Performing Arts and Entertainment Industry. As a Leader in Theatrical Makeup since 1927, Mehron realizes the value of being attentive to the needs of Performing Arts and Entertainment Students who will become the future Professionals of the Performing Arts and Entertainment Industry. Mehron Theatrical Makeup Division has always made obtaining Professional Theatrical Makeup accessible to the Performing Arts and Entertainment Student with a selection of Professional Theatrical Student Makeup Kits and Tools for those pursuing a career in the Industry.
At the 50th Anniversary USITT Annual Conference and Stage Expo in Kansas City, Mo., USA the Mehron Booth drew the attention of hundreds of visitors who were able to receive Makeup Tips and Tricks from Gene Flaharty along with seeing and touching the difference of Mehron Professional Theatrical Makeup, a highly pigmented, durable, long lasting, easy to apply Theatrical Makeup that has been produced since 1927 with the highest standards and hand selected ingredients. Throughout the eighty three year history of Mehron Theatrical Makeup, the needs of the Entertainment Industry has changed drastically, from Jack Dawn's Makeup Application in the Wizard of Oz to Tegan Taylor the Head of the Makeup Department for Avatar
At the USITT 50th Anniversary Annual Conference and Stage Expo on March 9-12,2010, held in Kansas City, MO, visitors to the Mehron Exhibition Booth had the chance to enter a drawing with the Grand Prize of a Makeup Case filled with Mehron Makeup. The lucky winner of the Makeup Case filled with Mehron Makeup was David Molton of Kansas City, MO, who was thrilled that he was bringing home this complete Mehron Makeup cache to his wife. Upon winning David Molton related to the Mehron Team, "My wife is the makeup artist and teacher. She is going to be very happy tonight when I get home tonight" . Mr. Molton couldn't have brought home a better surprise for Makeup Artist wife than a bag stuffed with Professional Mehron Makeup.
The next USITT Annual Conference and Stage Expo will be held om March 9-12, 2011 in Charlotte, NC, at the Charlotte Convention Center.
