1st Anniversary of the Mehron Blog

On Thursday September 4, 2008 the first Mehron Blog Post was published. Throughout the year the Mehron Blog has reported on Makeup Events, Awards won by Makeup Artists, premiered the newest Makeup Introductions by Mehron and described individual products in the extensive Mehron Makeup Product Line. A Year is hardly enough time to cover all the Mehron Makeup Products throughout all of the Mehron Makeup Specialities. With an 82 year history, Mehron's story is rich, extensive, and continuing.

The Mehron Blog has taken the reader through some of the history of Mehron Makeup, which began with the dream of one man, hand making makeup for the Professional Performance Community. Through the days of Vaudeville, Silent Films, the heyday of the Circus, the infancy of Theater on Broadway, through the talkies, the struggle of the Great Depression, the horror of a World War, the birth of a Television Industry, the Nightlife of Miami and Havana, through the advent of color Television, through the turbulence of the 1960's and beyond, Mehron has been there. Woven into the story that is America's Story, Mehron reached beyond the boarders and affected the Makeup Industry throughout the world.

Throughout 2008, the Mehron Blog has brought the reader a small sliver of Mehron's unique history. We brought you the story of Jinny Houle, bringing home the Asian Bodypainting Award in the Category, Brush/Sponge, the introduction of the Evil J Villain Character Kit and the Mehron Modern Vampire Kit. The Mehron Blog showed you how to Find A Mehron Dealer near you. As the first Halloween approached, the Mehron Blog revealed some of the interesting Special Effect Makeup Products that Mehron produces for Studio and Stage Makeup Work that you could learn to use to make your Halloween Costume the most Authentic in the neighborhood by using such products as Stage Blood.

Mehron Blog Readers were privy to the newest Makeup Introductions before they even hit the Mehron Web Site or were in the Dealer Catalogs. The Mehron Blog featured the Charities that Mehron holds dear such as 7th Tunnel to Towers Run , Mehron's Commitment to fighting breast cancer, and their participation with The Brave at Heart Foundation. As we introduced you to the vast array of Theatrical Makeup, the Mehron Blog also introduced you to the newest introductions from the Extreme Beauty Makeup Line.

Throughout the first year the Mehron Blog introduced you to some of the people who make Mehron Special, such as the second generation President, Martin Melik, the Marketing Director, Stephanie Ferreira and Shelli Farber, Product Sales and Education Manager of Mehron. The Mehron reader was introduced to Jinny Houle, co-creator of Paradise Makeup AQ, and to Makeup Artists from around the world who take Mehron Makeup and create astounding art with Body Painting, Facepainting and creative Special Effects Makeup.

It would take a year to write about the the first year of the Mehron Blog.
