Makeup Blogs Blog About Mehron Beauty Makeup

Mehron Makeup Gets Press for Fashion Week DebutOn September 13, 2009 the debut of Mehron Beauty Makeup in conjunction with the premier of the Fashion Collection by Athens Fashion Designer Vassilios Kostetsos at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City was a hughe event for the Makeup Company who has starred on the Stages of Broadway for over eight decades. Feeling right at home in New York City, the city where it all began in 1927, Mehron supplied the makeup and Makeup Artists to compliment the look that Fashion Designer Vassilios Kostetsos was proud to present to the world of fashion. Under the direction of Raedawn Johnson the Mehron Makeup Artists applied a bronze look to the models to replicate the classic look of Greek goddesses and gods to compliment the look presented by the Greek Designer.

Fashion and Makeup Blogs were well represented at the event and postings are still continuing. BeautySweetSpot commented in a posting entitled, Backstage: Vassilios Kostetsos , " Mehron, a makeup line that normally dominates Broadway, created the look using the inspiration of the bronzed goddess. Raedawn Johnson lead the Mehron team in making up 20 models, using brown and gold eye shadows, bronzer, a pop of pink on the cheek and clear glossy lip." While Krasey Beauty in a Blog, titled: Backstage at Vassilios Kostetsos with Mehron, said, "With such an impressive line, the makeup of course had to match. Team Mehron stepped up to the plate, to transform models into modern day bronzed Greek Gods and Goddesses. Led by head Mehron artist Raedawn J, the makeup team took models to Greece with intense bronze eyes and dewy, bronzed skin."

On The Quest for "it" in a Blog Post Titled, "Backstage @ Vasillios Kostetsos: Mehron Cosmetics Debut", writer Peggie Walker saw the Mehron Debut this way, "Backstage was calm, cool, and collected at The Salon (tent) in Bryant Park on the fourth evening of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, New York. It was the first time Greek designer and legend Vassilios Kostetsos, and makeup sponsor Mehron Cosmetics introduced their collections at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Mehron's makeup team headed by makeup artist, Raedawn Johnson brought on Vassilios' vision, inspired by his Greek culture, with models walking down the runway looking like Greek gods and goddesses. Raedawn said "we used a lot of Mehron's Aura Bronzing Gel, as well as the Gold E.Y.E Cream. We made the eyes dramatic with brown shadow and dark brown mascara, but skipped the eyeliner and false lashes to keep the look natural and fresh--keeping with Vassilios' wishes."

To go along with all the Blog coverage of the Mehron Beauty Makeup Debut, Photographer Alberto Vincenzo Ruotolo shot some behind the scenes photos of the Mehron Makeup Artists in Action.
