Makeup Artist Jackie Mgido will be the Lead Makeup Artist for the Mehron Makeup Team at New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on September 14, 2010.

With the Fall 2010 Mercedes-Benz New York Fall Fashion Week drawing record crowds and press coverage not only throughout the Fashion News but also in Business News around the world, day number 6, September 14, 2010 will see Mehron Makeup collaborate with Fashion Designer Toni Francesc. Hailing from Spain, Mr. Francesc will present his newest Fashion Collection to the world at 9 PM at The Studio. This year will be the third appearance for Mehron Makeup at the world's most watched Fashion Week. Each year a team of independent Makeup Artists from all makeup disciplines form the Team of Mehron Makeup Artists who make Mehron Makeup shine on the Runways of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. This year bi-coastal Makeup Artist Jackie Mgido will be heading the Team of Mehron Makeup Artists for the Toni Francesc Fashion Collection Presentation at Lincoln Center, New York City.

Ms. Mgidio has over a decade of Makeup Application experience working in Television and Films along with being a sought after instructor by young Makeup Artist Students. The resime of Jackie Mgido includes the Faculty of the Make-Up Designory (MUD), the much respected California Makeup School that produces disciplined, creative award winning makeup artists year after year. As a specialist in Beauty Makeup Application, Ms. Mgido has worked for Elle Magazine, the most prestigious of the Fashion Magazines in the world.

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa, Jackie Mgido now splits her time between New York and Los Angles as she practices her art for various Television Networks, Film Studios, Fashion Magazines and Teaching. As a busy practitioner of the Art of Makeup Application, Ms. Mgido has worked the dial of Television Networks including, Bravo, Food Network, E Channel, ABC, CBS, and Fox.

In between teaching and working for Television Networks and Film Studios, the faces of celebrities such as Neil Patrick Harris, Vanessa Huggins, Jamie Fox, Snoop Dog, and George Lopez have been beautified by the work of Makeup Artist Jackie Mgido.

Jackie Mgido was one of the first Makeup Artists to use the Fashion Makeup Introductions of Mehron Makeup throughout the last three years. Using her artistic vision of beautiful soft applications and color complimenting techniques, Ms. Mgido created a series of ads for Mehron using Makeup from the enhanced Beauty Eye Wear Makeup recently added to the Mehron Makeup Beauty Collection.

Fashion Week Begins in New York City

September 9, 2010 marks the beginning of a new era for New York City Fashion Week. The familiar setting of Bryant Park is now a part of Fashion Week History. The new Era of Fashion Week at the cultural hub of New York City, Lincoln Center is the new setting for Mercedes-Benz fashion Week. The 2010 Fashion Week opened with the Designs of Nicholas K, a New York based design company founded by the Nicholas Kunz and Christopher Kunz with the final presentation on September 16, 2010 at 9:00 PM by IVANhelsinki, featuring the artistic fashions of Paola Ivana Suhonen who runs the company with her sister Prijo. In between the bookends of these two family companies, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will witness the premier of designs by Christian Siriano, Nicole Miller, Binetti, Tommy Hilfiger, Betsey Johnson, Toni Francesc, Anna Sui, Rebecca Moses and dozens of other Fashion Designers from around the world.

On September 13, 2009 the debut of Mehron Beauty Makeup in conjunction with the premier of the Fashion Collection by Athens Fashion Designer Vassilios Kostetsos at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City was a hughe event for the Makeup Company who has starred on the Stages of Broadway for over eight decades. Feeling right at home in New York City, the city where it all began in 1927, Mehron supplied the makeup and Makeup Artists to compliment the look that Fashion Designer Vassilios Kostetsos was proud to present to the world of fashion. On The Quest for "it" in a Blog Post Titled, "Backstage @ Vasillios Kostetsos: Mehron Cosmetics Debut", writer Peggie Walker saw the Mehron Debut this way, "Backstage was calm, cool, and collected at The Salon (tent) in Bryant Park on the fourth evening of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, New York. It was the first time Greek designer and legend Vassilios Kostetsos, and makeup sponsor Mehron Cosmetics introduced their collections at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Mehron's makeup team headed by makeup artist, Raedawn Johnson brought on Vassilios' vision, inspired by his Greek culture, with models walking down the runway looking like Greek gods and goddesses. Raedawn said "we used a lot of Mehron's Aura Bronzing Gel, as well as the Gold E.Y.E Cream. We made the eyes dramatic with brown shadow and dark brown mascara, but skipped the eyeliner and false lashes to keep the look natural and fresh--keeping with Vassilios' wishes."
