Halloween Villian from the Mehron Blog Archives

On July 14th 2008 The Dark Knight starring Heath Ledger as the Joker opened in New York City, followed by a general release on July 18, 2008. Mr. Ledger so immersed himself in this role that many of his associates became concerned about his mental well being during the filming. Aside from the passion and talent that the cast of The Dark Knight put into their roles, the Makeup Department that consisted of over twenty Makeup Artists and Hairstylists created believable characters for this unusual portrayal of Batman. Led by Key Makrup Artist Sue Robb-King, the Makeup Crew for The Dark Knight included John Caglione, Jr as the personal makeup Artist for Heath Ledger who spent hours each day in the Makeup Chair in preparation for his role as the sinisterly evil joker.

Almost immediately after the July 2008 release of The Dark Knight, there was a public clamoring for the Joker Makeup for the upcoming Halloween. Hours before the first of the eighteen models who displayed the work of Mr. Francesc, The Mehron Makeup Team was busy applying the Makeup to complete the look that Toni Francesc was seeking in his presentation entitled Urban Forest. The final day of Rock Fashion Week held in Miami Beach, Fl, USA saw a presentation of the newest intimate fashion designs from biatta intimates.
