Toni Francesc 2010 Fashion with Mehron Gold

Flying in from Barcelona, Spain, Fashion Designer Toni Francesc came to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with a Futuristic Fall 2010 Collection ready to greet alien life forms on any planet. Presenting for the second time under the white historic tents of Bryant Park, Mr. Francesc came prepared with a Fall Collection that would easily have won the hearts of all women abroad the Starship Enterprise, and one that also blends perfectly into modern urban industrial life. Toni Francesc's Fall 2010 Collection entitled "Artificial Life" brings the future to the present. From his Casual Wear to his Formal Wear every piece in the "Artificial Life" Fashion Collection of Toni Francesc featured comforting fabrics cut in precision futuristic lines that made the dark colored collection feel inviting and warm. Concentrated in black, charcoal, steel, and rust, Mr. Francesc's Fall 2010 Presentation was in stark contrast to the return of vibrant colors that other Designers at Fashion Week tended to favor.

By naming his Fall 2010 Fashion Collection Presentation, "Artificial Life", Designer Toni Francesc is hinting at the Star Trekkie look of his collection and is inviting humans to be well attired when interacting with extraterrestrial life in the future as they blend in with modern cityscape of steel, aluminum and concrete now. To complete the look of the future, Toni Francesc called upon Mehron, the Makeup of the Future with roots set deep into the past. Discarding the usual Fashion Makeup colors found in L.I.P. Cream, CHEEK Cream, and E.Y.E Cream, a Team of Mehron Makeup Artists, led by Beauty Makeup Artist Raedawn Johnson, delved into the future by creating a shiny mineral look using Mehron Mixing Liquid blended with Metallic Powder.

The Mehron Makeup Team first treated the Models to a refreshing, skin soothing application of Velvet Finish Primer, a natural based skin serum that contains a stable Vitamin C and Vitamin E that is easily absorbed for deep moisturizing. An undefined eye look was created using Mehron Black Detailz, and E.Y.E Powder for an industrial, modern look that will carry on through space travel. After a Professional Cream Mehron Foundation, the faces were accented with Gold Metallic Powder, and the lips colored using the blended Gold Metallic Powder and Mixing Liquid.

The Fashion Week Presentation partnership between Fashion Designer Toni Francesc and Mehron Makeup was captured by the cameras of Richard Espositio and Alberto Vincenzo Rutolo, and as in the past they have kindly granted access to their photographs for publication in the Mehron Blog, in order for Mehron Blog Readers to experience this Fashion Show from all angles. Eros Anikate Machan through the Camera Lens

Athens Fashion Designer Vassilios Kostetsos presented his Fall 2010 Fashion Collection on the Runway of The Salon at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in conjunction with Mehron Makeup. Taking into account the day, Valentine's Day, and his heritage, Greek, Mr. Kostetsos decided on a quote from Sophocles as the theme of his show, "Eros Anikate Machan", translated from anicent Greek into English as, "Love, Invincible in Battle". Two Photographers captured the event in order for others to experience, Richard Esposito and Alberto Vincenzo Ruotolo. Vassilios, Mehron, the Heart of Fashion Week

Mehron Extreme Beauty Makeup and Fashion Week
On the evening of the Holiday of the Heart, Fashion Designer Vassilios Kostetsos in conjunction with Mehron Makeup presented his newest Fashion Collection on the runways of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. In homage to his Ancestry, Mr. Kostetsos set the theme of his Fall 2010 Fashion Collection with a quote from Sophocles, "Eros Anikate Machan", translated to English as "Love, invincible in Battle". The 2010 Fall Collection designed by Vassilios highlights the return to vibrant colors in solids and patterns, to accentuate the Kostetsos Collection the Mehron Makeup Team led by Beauty Makeup Artist Raedawn Johnson used Mehron Extreme Beauty Makeup.

In keeping with the today's new Makeup Look, Raedawn and the Mehron Makeup Team created dramatic eye looks for Vassilios' Women Fashion Models. Using E.Y.E Lashes for length and texture, the Mehron Makeup Artists applied Black Detailz combined with Black Eye Shadow to highlight the depths of the model's eye, a technique that recalls the Glamor Days of Hollywood. Using a makeup tool that wasn't available to the glamorous stars of Hollywood, Mehron Makeup Artists mixed Precious Gems Powder with Mixing Liquid by Mehron which enabled them to accent the Eye Makeup Look with a shimmer that captured the light as the models walked the runway. With Raedawn leading the vision, the Mehron Makeup Artist Team was able to compliment Vassilios Kostetsos' 2010 Fall Makeup collection, picking up on the vibrant colors of the Fashion with the bold colors of Mehron L.I.P. Liner and L.I.P. Color Cream.

For the male models Mr. Kostetsos preferred that the "battle" theme be carried through with Mehron Makeup. Keeping within the Extreme Beauty Makeup Line while borrowing from the techniques used by Face Painters who use Mehron Face Painting Makeup, the Mehron Team of Beauty Makeup Artists used Mehron Mixing Liquid with Metallic Powder. The Makeup for the Male Models using the Metallic Powder and Mehron Mixing Liquid was applied to their faces in the style of the classic Greek Helmet.
Mehron Makeup and Vassilios Kostetsos
The Mehron Makeup Artists were able to tie together the entire Kostetsos' Fall 2010 with colors and products from the Mehron Extreme Beauty Makeup Line, completing Vassilios' theme with a Makeup look that complimented each design.

The first pairing of Mehron Makeup and Vassilios Kostetsos was greeted enthusiastically by the fashion press, makeup press and beauty press. If the reaction to the presentation by those who witnessed the event live is any indication, this second partnership between Mehron and Vassilios will not be hampered by a sophomore jinx.

Photographers, Alberto Vincenzo Rutolo and Richard Esposito, captured the event from behind the Makeup mirrors to the Fashion Runway and share their photographs with Mehron Blog readers with the understanding that these photos are copyrighted work and should not be copied or distributed for any purpose without the express written consent of the Photographer. Over the next few weeks, the Mehron Blog will be sharing a host of exclusive photos from the lenses of Mr. Rutolo and Mr. Esposito's cameras from not only the Kostetsos Fashion Collection but also from Fashion Designer Toni Francesc's Fashion presentation that will also feature Makeup Artists with a dressing table full of Mehron Makeup.

From the Big Tent to the Fashion Tent

Over Eighty Years of Makeup by Mehron
Long before the white canvas tents of New York City's Bryant Park Fashion Week Tents, Mehron Makeup starred in tents of a different sort. Mehron White Clown Face was the Clown Makeup of choice for the performers of the Greatest show on Earth as it traveled from town to town. In the early decades of the 1900's Clowns used more makeup than just about anyone, and they used it day after day as they performed twice a day under the Big Tent. The Clowns of the traveling circus used Mehron Clown Makeup because it provided true vivid colors that lasted through their long days. Through twice daily performances, lunch and downtime, the Clowns knew that once they applied their Makeup in the morning, they were ready for an entire day of bringing smiles to the crowds who packed the Big Tent.

As the Entertainment Industry changed over the decades there was a constant, Mehron Makeup. Taking a clue from the Clowns, the Performers on the stages of Vaudeville, Burlesque, Theater, Opera, Ballet, Silent Films, Talking Pictures, Television, Music Videos and Fashion Models all came to learn that the Makeup of choice for a clean, consistent, safe application was Mehron. Throughout the decades Mehron Makeup continued to offer the Makeup needed by the Entertainment Industry. From the basic white makeup used by clowns and mimes, to the intricate colors that are now prevalent in Body Painting Makeup and Face Painting Makeup, Mehron Makeup continued to research, develop, formulate and perfect the makeup that kept pace with the evolving entertainment industry.

In the early days of film, when monster movies were in vogue, Mehron Makeup was on the cusp of the birth of what would become, Character Makeup. As the monsters of the screen turned into the sirens of Hollywood's Glamorous Era, Mehron Makeup was there to enhance the beauty of starlets and stars. The Golden Age of Hollywood saw epic productions that skyrocketed the profession of Makeup Artist to a recognized craft. These Makeup Artists, who were the pioneers of a Profession, knew that the first name in makeup, Mehron, could be counted on for any assignment.

In the early 1900's Mehron Makeup was appearing under the canvas of the Circus Tents, now, in the early 2000's Mehron Makeup is once again appearing under tents, the tents that house New York Fashion Week. Although Mehron Makeup continues to produce the Clown White Makeup that clowns have counted on for eight decades, it now stars under the tents that showcase New York Fashion Week. The even, consistent color of Mehron Makeup now highlights the beauty of Fashion Models who walk the runways of one of the world's most important Fashion Events, the New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Wherever there is a need for Makeup, Mehron Makeup will be there to lead the way with Makeup that is produced with selected ingredients, perfected pigmentation, even coverage and detailed elegance. Performance Makeup Artists have known for over eighty years to look to Mehron Makeup for a quality makeup produced in the USA for the products they needed for their performers. Now in 2010, Beauty Makeup Artists are realizing that the makeup that is adorning the faces and bodies of the models of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is the Makeup they need for their clients. Mehron Fashion Makeup, like all Mehron Makeup, is not just for Professionals, Mehron Makeup is available to everyone through a Mehron Authorized Retailer.

Fight Blizzard Skin and Lips

Fight Winter with Mehron Velvet Finish Primer
Had enough of White? It's everywhere, snow has covered the earth from Paris to the Deep South in the United States. It has been one of the snowiest couple of weeks in memory. Beautiful to look at in the beginning, it becomes tiresome rather quickly. The combination of raw cold snow and biting wind takes a toll on your skin and your lips, chapping lips and chaffing skin. You can fight the damages of Blizzard Skin and Lips with two new products from Mehron Makeup, Velvet Finish Primer and L.I.P. Cream.

To soothe and moisturize your skin, start your winter day with a treatment of Velvet Finish Primer, the skin serum formulated by Mehron with a stabilized Vitamin C that the skin can absorb. Vitamin C is a powerful anti-oxidant that protects the body's cells. In most skin products Vitamin C becomes unstable and can not be absorbed by the skin. The Mehron Researchers and Chemists came up with a formulation that maintains its stability and allows the skin to absorb it. Velvet Finish Primer Serum is not just a Vitamin C formulation, it also contains Vitamin E, another anti-oxidant that is absorbed by the skin and Aloe Vera a natural plant juice that has proven itself over the centuries to be a natural skin healer. Mehron Makeup has put all these natural ingredients together in a fresh feeling serum that moisturizes deeply, erasing fine lines and skin discoloration that occurs with age, pollution and weather. Use Mehron Velvet Finish Primer to combat the elements that attack your skin. Start and end your day with an at home Spa Treatment of Velvet Finish Primer to battle the damage caused by blizzard days.

To add color to your life while protecting and healing your lips, Mehron has introduced the a smooth, silky feeling lip cream that not only adds the true, rich colors that enhance your lips, but also protects and moisturizes them adding to your arsenal against the bitter winter wind and snow. L.I.P. Cream by Mehron is one of the newest additions to the Fashion Beauty Makeup that not only provides you with vibrant, sensual colors for your lips, but also has a built in hydrating cream to keep your lips in kissing shape even during the brutal winter.

You can be sure that the Mehron Makeup Artist Team that will be applying Mehron Fashion Makeup to the models of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at the presentations by Fashion Designers Vassilios Kostetsos and Toni Francesc will be treating their winter skin with Velvet Finish Primer and highlighting their lips with the true, natural colors of L.I.P. Cream. You can bet that the models working these two shows at Mercedes-Benz will feel the difference after they wear Mehron Makeup, and will be glad that the Mehron Makeup Artist Team was in their dressing rooms.

New York Fashion and Mehron Makeup

Mehron Fashion MakeupAfter the Blizzard of 2010 blankets New York City, the famous White Tents of Bryant Park will be erected to host the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for the final time. The February 2010 New York Fashion Week will be an historic event, it will be the last time that the runways are housed in the White Tents of Bryant Park on the fringe of the New York Garment District. The next and future New York Fashion Week presentations will move uptown to Lincoln Center. For Mehron Makeup this final Fashion Week in Bryant Park is also an historic event, it is the sophomore presentation of Mehron Fashion Makeup in conjunction with the Fashion Collections of two world renowned Fashion Designers. The September 2009 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was the premier of Mehron Fashion Makeup in conjunction with the Fashion Collection presentation of Athens Fashion Designer Vassilios Kostetsos. For the encore presentation of Mehron Fashion Makeup, the Mehron Makeup Artist Team will again join Mr. Kostetsos as he shows his newest Fashion Designs to the New York Fashion World.

Mehron Fashion Makeup will also highlight the models presenting the newest Fashion Designs of Spanish Fashion Designer Toni Francesc as he presents his ecclesiastic Fashion Collection to the world at the final Bryant Park Fashion Week sponsored by Mercedes-Benz. The Mehron Makeup Team using Mehron Makeup from across all of the Mehron Makeup Collections will compliment the Fashion Presentation of Mr. Francesc and show the fashion fans in attendance that the Makeup that starred on Broadway is also a star on the runway.

Mehron Fashion Makeup has a foundation in Theatrical Makeup, a makeup that requires consistency, rich true color, durability that does not crack, run or wilt. All of the qualities of Mehron Theatrical Makeup carry through to all the Mehron Makeup Lines, from everyday Beauty Makeup to High Style Fashion Makeup. After over eight decades of producing quality Theatrical Makeup, Mehron enters the new decade with the introduction of an ever growing Beauty Makeup Collection. Moving from the Stages of Broadway to the Runways of Fashion Week is an easy task for Makeup that is formulated with selected ingredients, concentrated pigmentation and is made in the USA free from animal testing.

In 1927, only blocks from the Runways of Bryant Park, in a loft off Broadway, Mehron Melik formulated his Makeup by hand with ingredients that he personally selected for the Performers who were plying their craft on the new stages of the Broadway Theater District. In 1927, live stage performances were moving from downtown New York to the New Theater District that was being built around Times Square. In 2010, as the Fashion Industry prepares to move uptown to Lincoln Center, Mehron Makeup will once again be a part of a New York Tradition and a Transition. As the Fashion Industry dictates change from season to season, Mehron Makeup will be prepared to meet the challenges of New Designers, New Fashions, New Colors, New Locations and a New Tradition in Fashion Makeup.

Mehron Fashion Makeup at NYC Fashion Week

Mehron Makeup on a Model at New York Fashion Week Fashion WeekThe premier of Mehron Fashion Makeup was September 2009 on the Runways of Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week. Premiering with the Fashion Collection of Vassilios Kostetsos, Mehron assembled a team of Beauty Makeup Artists led by Raedawn Johnson to apply Mehron Beauty Makeup to the Fashion Models of Mr. Kostetsos. Picking up his Athens roots, Ms. Johnson decided on Aura Bronzing Gel to add the bronze tone of the stereotypical ideal of a Greek God and Goddess. Combining Aura Bronzing Gel with Mehron Foundation Makeup, Raedawn accomplished her intentions with a skin tone that was perfect for the presentation of the Kostetsos Collection. In conjunction with the assembled team of Makeup Artists, which included Brandalyn Fulton, a rising star in the discipline of Beauty Makeup Artist, Raedawn Johnson perfectly complimented the Fashion Look of the Vassilios Kostetsos Fashion Designs, proving that her Fashion Makeup application was the choice for the models.

Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, produced by IMG, returns on February 11-18, 2010. Retuning to Fashion Week for an encore performance will be the Mehron Makeup Team under the tutelage of Raedawn Johnson. Mehron Makeup will again join forces with Athens Fashion Designer, Vassilios Kostetsos as a sponsor of his Fashion Collection Presentation and as the Makeup Team for his models. Ms. Johnson will be counting on the talents of the entire Mehron Makeup Artist Team to once again produce a Fashion Makeup Look that will compliment and highlight the clothing designs of Mr. Kostetsos. The Mehron Makeup Team will be choosing their colors and products from throughout the entire Mehron Makeup Line to apply a Beauty Makeup Look that won't wilt under the lights of Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.

To add to the challenge of producing a Fashion Makeup Look for a Fashion Designer's presentation of his Collection to the Fashion World, Mehron will also be the sponsor of Toni Francesc. By taking on the challenge of two distinctly different looks by two artistically different Fashion Designers, the Mehron Makeup Artist Team will be able to highlight the diversity and the possibilities of Mehron Makeup. Mr. Kostetsos and Mr.Francesc will present to the Fashion Industry different visions, yet Mehron Makeup will compliment each perfectly, exhibiting the diversity of the Mehron Makeup Collection. A Collection of Beauty Makeup that is ready to highlight, accent and compliment any Fashion.
